Football gifts for kids
For younger kids, a junior football, receiver gloves with their favorite NFL team and a flag football set are perfect. They are affordable, fun and help kids practice catching and throwing with friends.
Football gifts for teens and high school players
High school players appreciate gear that helps them train: a throwing net for quarterbacks, a speed set for off-season workouts, quality receiver gloves and a fresh mouth guard. Many teens also love recovery items like massage balls and a big water bottle.
Gifts for football players from the coach
Coaches usually give small, equal gifts to every player: a team water bottle, wristbands, a personalized keychain or a mouth guard in team colors. A short handwritten note to each player means more than an expensive gift. For gifts for the coach, see the best gifts for coaches.
Football senior night gift ideas
Popular senior night gifts include a football signed by the whole team, a framed jersey or photo, a personalized blanket with their number or a poster with their stats. Parents often add flowers or a small gift for the senior’s family.

Small football gifts and stocking stuffers
- Mouth guards: players lose them constantly; a spare is always useful.
- Hand warmers: HotHands for cold late-season games, for players and fans.
- Water bottle: an Owala FreeSip for practice.
- Massage balls: lacrosse balls for sore muscles after games.
- Athletic socks: a multi-pack of cushioned sports socks.
How to choose a football gift
- Know their position: quarterbacks love throwing nets, receivers love gloves, kickers love tees.
- Tackle or flag? Mouth guards are for tackle; flag sets are for flag and backyard games.
- Get sizes right: footballs and gloves come in different sizes by age.
- Off-season training: speed and agility gear helps players improve between seasons.
Gifts for football fans who also play
Many young players are huge NFL fans. Gear with their favorite team, like NFL-licensed gloves or a team football, doubles as a fan gift. Tickets to a local high school, college or NFL game make a memorable experience gift, and a cozy team blanket plus a bulk pack of hand warmers keeps the whole family warm in the stands.
Gifts for football moms and dads
Football parents spend fall Friday nights and Saturday mornings in cold bleachers. A stadium seat with a back, a warm blanket, an insulated tumbler for hot drinks, hand warmers and a portable phone charger all make game days more comfortable.
Off-season training gifts
The off-season is when players improve most. Along with an agility set and a throwing net, simple tools like resistance bands, a jump rope and a foam roller support strength, speed and recovery at home. Pair a training gift with a written plan, like three short sessions a week, to help the player actually use it.
