The best portable pickleball nets, reviewed

Fostoy Portable Pickleball Net with Wheels
You need this if: you want a regulation net for real games on a driveway or tennis court, and you want to move it easily.
- Size22 ft or 11 ft half court
- Height36 in posts, 34 in center
- FrameSteel, 1 mm walls, 24 in feet
- Net18-ply PE, double-sewn
Why we recommend it: It is the highest-rated full-size net we found, at 4.7 stars. Buyers praise how sturdy it is, the value, portability and that it is easy to move on its wheels. The thicker steel frame and wide feet keep it standing straight during play, and the tool-free interlocking poles are labeled so setup is quick.
Keep in mind: A full steel net set is heavy to carry long distances. The wheels help on smooth ground, but it is best for a driveway or court close to where you store it.
Alternative: the BAGAIL 22 ft net is very similar, with a full and half-court net, wheels and a handy ball collector. Choose it if it is cheaper on the day you buy. Do not buy both.

Zdgao Portable Pickleball Net Set
You need this if: you want a regulation-size net for the lowest price and do not need wheels or a half-court option.
- Size22 ft regulation
- Height36 in sides, 34 in center
- Net15-ply knotless
- IncludedBalls and carry bag
Why we recommend it: It gives you a full-size regulation net with a steel frame, balls and a bag for less than the wheeled sets. Buyers mention quality and easy setup most, and many say it goes up in a few minutes using the numbered parts.
Keep in mind: It has no wheels and no half-court net. If you plan to move it around a lot, the Fostoy is easier.

Boulder 10 ft Adjustable Multi-Sport Net
You need this if: you have a small yard or young kids, or you want one net for pickleball, badminton and other games.
- Width10 ft
- HeightAdjustable 34 to 60 in
- SetupBungee poles, no tools
- Ratings4.5★, 14,000+
Why we recommend it: It is by far the most-reviewed net here, and buyers praise its quality, easy setup and versatility. The poles fold and extend, so you can set pickleball height for kids and switch to badminton height later. It folds into a bag and works on any flat surface.
Keep in mind: At 10 ft wide it is not regulation width. It is great for practice and kids, but adults who want real doubles games should choose a 22 ft net.

Pickleball court size: will it fit on your driveway?
A regulation pickleball court is 20 feet wide and 44 feet long, the same for singles and doubles. The net is 22 feet wide, 36 inches high at the posts and 34 inches high in the middle. The non-volley zone, or kitchen, extends 7 feet from the net on each side. USA Pickleball recommends extra room around the court, ideally a total playing area of about 30 by 60 feet, but many people play happily with less.
| Space | What you can play | Net to buy |
|---|---|---|
| 20 x 44 ft or more | Full regulation court | 22 ft net |
| 16 to 20 ft wide, 30 to 44 ft long | Shortened doubles or singles | 22 ft or 11 ft half-court net |
| Under 16 ft wide | Dinking practice, kids games | 11 ft or 10 ft net |
A typical two-car driveway is about 18 to 24 feet wide, which is enough for a full-width or slightly narrow court. If your driveway is short, play with a shortened baseline or practice dinking at the kitchen only. Always check for slopes, cracks and cars before you play.
How to set up a portable pickleball net
- Lay out the frame pieces by their numbers or labels.
- Connect the base feet first, then the center and side poles.
- Slide the net sleeves over the top bar, then attach the bottom straps.
- Set the center strap so the middle of the net is 34 inches high.
- Place the net in the middle of your court area, square to the lines.

How to mark pickleball lines on a driveway
- Sidewalk chalk: cheapest and washes off in the rain. Good for trying out the court size.
- Court tape or marking lines: stays put on smooth surfaces and peels off later.
- Painter’s tape: good indoors on gym floors where you cannot use chalk.
- Measure carefully: use a tape measure and mark the four corners first, then the kitchen lines 7 feet from the net and the center line.
What to look for in a portable pickleball net
Regulation size
For real games, choose a 22 foot net at 36 inches at the posts and 34 inches in the center. A net that is too low makes the game too easy and changes how the ball travels.
A sturdy frame
Steel frames with wide feet stay straight when the ball hits the net. Thin poles and narrow feet can sag in the middle or tip over in wind.
Net quality
A thicker, multi-ply net with double-sewn edges lasts longer outdoors. Knotless mesh is less likely to snag balls.
Wheels and portability
Wheels let you roll the net off the driveway when a car needs to get out, without taking it apart. A carry bag keeps the parts together.
Caring for a portable net
Store the net indoors when you are not using it, because sun breaks down the mesh and rain can rust joints. Dry it before packing it away, and wipe grit off the pole joints so they slide together easily. Check the straps each season and replace a torn net rather than the whole frame if possible.
