The 2027 men's NCAA tournament starts with Selection Sunday on March 14 and ends at Ford Field in Detroit with the Final Four on April 3 and the championship on April 5. Here is every round and site.

  • Selection Sunday: March 14, 2027.
  • First Four: March 16–17, 2027, in Dayton, Ohio, and Wichita, Kansas.
  • First round: March 18–19, 2027.
  • Second round: March 20–21, 2027.
  • Sweet 16: March 25–26, 2027.
  • Elite Eight: March 27–28, 2027.
  • Final Four: Saturday, April 3, 2027, Ford Field, Detroit.
  • National championship: Monday, April 5, 2027, Ford Field, Detroit.

2027 tournament sites

First and second rounds: Pittsburgh, Omaha, Fort Worth and Spokane (games starting March 18), and Charlotte, Minneapolis, Louisville and Sacramento (games starting March 19).

Regionals (Sweet 16 and Elite Eight): San Antonio (South), Los Angeles (West), Kansas City (Midwest) and New York's Madison Square Garden (East).

Detroit hosts the Final Four

The Final Four returns to Detroit for the first time since 2009, with Michigan State University as the host institution. Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, is set up with a raised court in the middle of the stadium, so even upper-level fans get a view of the action.

Filling out a bracket

Brackets lock before the first-round games tip off on March 18, 2027. If you are running an office or family pool, set it up right after the bracket is revealed on Selection Sunday (March 14) to give everyone time to pick.
