The sun is strong and most seats have no shade, so packing right matters. Here is what to bring.

Spring Training tips
- Arrive early. Gates often open well before first pitch, and players sign autographs during warm-ups near the dugouts and along the foul lines.
- Pick shade if you can. Most seats are in full sun, so check your ballpark’s seating chart for covered or shaded sections before you buy.
- Expect the stars to leave early. Regulars often play a few innings, then backups and prospects finish the game.
- Visit the back fields. Many complexes let fans watch morning workouts for free.
- Plan several parks. Most Cactus League parks are within about an hour’s drive of Phoenix, so you can see different teams on back-to-back days.
