Forget one thing and you are driving to a store between games. This checklist covers everything players and parents need, from the bat bag to the cooler.
Tick items off as you pack. Your checks are saved on this device, so you can come back to the list, and you can print it for the car.

Player bag checklist
Pack the bag the night before, and have your player check it. It builds responsibility, and they will know where everything is in the dugout.

Parent and family checklist
Tournament fields often have little shade, limited seating and long walks from the parking lot. These make the day far easier.

Travel tournament extras
Out-of-town and overnight tournaments, such as summer travel ball or a week in Cooperstown, need a little more planning.

Food to bring to a baseball tournament
Concession stands can be expensive and slow between games. The best tournament food is easy to eat, holds up in a cooler, and does not leave players feeling heavy.
- Between games: sandwiches or wraps, pasta salad, fruit, string cheese and pretzels.
- Quick energy: bananas, orange slices, granola bars and trail mix.
- Hydration: plenty of water, plus sports drinks on very hot days.
- Skip: greasy fast food and large meals right before a game.
How to pack a baseball bag
- Bats go in the bat sleeves, with knobs at the bottom so they slide out easily.
- Helmet goes in its own compartment or on the hook, never crushed under other gear.
- Cleats go in the vented shoe pocket to keep dirt and smell away from clothes.
- Glove goes on top or in the glove pocket with a ball in the pocket to keep its shape.
- Small items (batting gloves, sunscreen, mouth guard) go in a side pouch so they are easy to find.

Got questions?
Frequently asked questions
What should I bring to a baseball tournament?
Players need their glove, bats, helmet, batting gloves, cleats, full uniform with spare pants and socks, and sun protection. Parents should bring chairs, shade, a cooler with water and snacks, a first-aid kit and a phone charger.
What should a baseball mom bring to a tournament?
A folding chair or stadium seat, shade, a well-stocked cooler, sunscreen, a first-aid kit, a phone charger, cash for gate fees, and a spare set of socks and pants for your player.
What food is best between baseball games?
Light, easy food that holds up in a cooler: sandwiches, wraps, fruit, pretzels and granola bars, plus plenty of water.
How many uniforms do you need for a tournament?
Bring both jersey colors your team uses, two pairs of pants and at least two pairs of socks, since players often slide and get wet or muddy.
