How the tournament works
The Little League Baseball World Series is for the Major Division, players aged 10 to 12. Teams start in local district tournaments in early summer, then move through state or sectional rounds and regional tournaments. The regional champions travel to Williamsport, where the field is split into a United States bracket and an International bracket. The two bracket winners meet in the World Series championship game on the final day.
The MLB Little League Classic
Every year MLB brings a regular-season game to Williamsport during the tournament, and the players from the Little League teams watch in the stands. Little League International has announced that the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago Cubs will face off in the 2027 MLB Little League Classic. The game date will be on the 2027 MLB schedule.
